Description
Paratella Classic Road Bicycle from 1973. Corrado Paratella was an Italian frame builder from Turin whose works belong to the finest Italian craftsmanship tradition. From the the late 1940s until the late 1980s, he manufactured high-end racing bicycles, and as we have been told by our friends from Turin, his workshop was a meeting point for many cyclists, who were keen to see and touch first-hand the newest creations of this very creative frame builder.
Despite the fact that his name is unknown for many people outside of Turin, Paratella bicycles are really renowned and sought after, since he only produced up to 15/25 frames per year!
Therefore each Paratella bicycle is a true piece of art, both for the small amount of exemplars he built and the typical attention to details of a small artisan manufacturing.
Just like the ones this Paratella shows. According to the engraved numbers on the seat lug (74-13), it is the thirteenth frame produced in 1974. The frameset is made of Columbus SL tubes and is equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record parts (rear derailleur and crankset from 1973).
A classic bicycle with no compromise! The right choice for everyone who is looking for a rare and hand-made classic bicycle..
