Description

Based in Bologna, Patelli is a small bicycle manufacturer, who in the 1940s started specializing in high end road bicycles and cycling tools.

The attention to details is the typical one of any Italian small frame builders with many engraved parts and refined lugs.

Since Patelli was such a small manufacture, and worked so meticulously on every part, it was never possible for this small brand to equip a professional team. It would have already taken ages to provide the frames for a single rider, let alone a whole team. There was some success in racing, nonetheless. In the 1980s, for example, several Italian amateur championships - a prestigious title, indeed - were won a Patelli.

If we take a closer look at the frame presented here, we find what we would expect from an absolute top class artisan. These exquisite lugs and the elegant cutouts are a real eye catcher. On the technical side, Columbus SLX was top notch in the mid 1980s. The helical reinforcements on the inside of the tubes, their lightness and stiffness made them the obvious choice for the largest share of the professional bikes from the mid 1980s to the early 1990s.
A Patelli, however, would not stop with just using great material. In this case it means that an internal routing for shifting cables and rear braking cable was installed, leaving the frame smooth and elegant.
Fork and rear stays are chromed and engraved. How often do you find engraved seat stays? Rarely. What would suit such a bike better than an equally exceptional groupset?
That's right! So this dream is equipped with the iconic Campagnolo 50th anniversary groupset. It is just the perfect completion for the frame. Together they form a collectible yet high performing super bike. It is nothing less than uber-special.
A bike for connoisseurs, for a collection or for you to impress with and enjoy rides on.
