Description

Located in Bologna, Patelli is an artisan who has been manufacturing bicycles and bike tools since the 1940s. Attention to details and uniqueness are the keywords of any Patelli work. Typical of small Italian builders, Patelli frames illustrate meticulous and superb manufacturing with many pantogarphed details, both at lugs and components.

This Patelli Titanium from 1978 particularly embodies the essence of Patelli's approach to frame building. Manufactured with butted Coloumbus tubing, this bike has a lot of engraved, refined details: from the lug work over the stuningly milled cranks to the pantographed seat post and stem. The bikes is furthermore in very nice, original condition and is equipped with a series of expensive lightweight parts.

Next to Campagnolo Super Record shifting, there is a whole set of amazing stuff:
- The bottom bracket is an FT Super Rolling with loads of lightweight material and industrial bearings. - The hubs are FT Super Rolling, too super smooth industrial bearings and extra light. - The quick releases are OMAS, with lightweight aluminium nuts. - The headset is an OMAS Big Sliding - do we have to mention it is extra light? - The saddle is a Selle Royal Contour (choice of Francesco Moser and others due to its anatomical pre-shaped form) and it is the Superleggero edition with aluminium rails.

Except for these parts, the Patelli is quite a conventional build as far as weight is concerned and the frame with its 59cm is not exactly small, too. Yet the bike weighs in at a stunning 8.7kg!

The right choice for all cyclist who love details and fine craftsmanship. Rare, Italian heritage at its finest! Checked and ready to go!
