Description
Achille Pavarin is an Italian expert bicycle producer from Calcinate del Pesce (Varese, northern Italy). In 1974 he decided to open his own bike store and to produce custom steel frames.
As many other Pavarin frames, this one is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship and was built by a real expert. Most Pavarin bikes were built either by Marnati or Losa.
Giovanni - "Vanni" - Losa. The frame builder from Vittuone - a small city close to Milan - is a real legend. He manufactured exquisite bicycles for third brands, among others, the Cinelli Supercorsa from the 1990s to 2008.
Like most other frame built by Losa, our Pavarin Special from the 1970s illustrates refined triangular engravings on the lugs and cut-outs underneath the bottom bracket with a "V" shape, which are symbolising his nickname 'Vanni'.
As for the tubes, this frame is made of light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes, the choice of most of the frame builders back in the 1970s.
This Pavarin Special perfectly shows how accurate and meticulous Losa frames are. This bicycle is a true heap of refined details which are worth being mentioned. For now, just take a look at the cutouts
Our Pavarin is furthermore equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset of the 1st generation.
A true classic road bicycle for participating in L´Eroica!
