Description
Peugeot was one of those early bicycle manufacturers which grew big and succsessful during the 20th century. Their first bike was already built as early as 1882. And their reputation grew partly to their racing activities. Peugeot sponsored victorious racing squads and cyclists from 1903 until 1983.
In this time they managed to win the tour de France 10 times and countless championships, classics and one day races. Being one of the largest bicycle producers in Europe, their range included a variety of models even in the early days. One of them was the Peugeot Semi-Luxe Course we present you here. It stems from the later 1920s and it is still preserved in mostly original condition. The lugged steel frame still sports the green paintjob and is identical as on the "Tour de France" model, the fixed handlebars and slightly different setup being the only difference. You will find the Peugeot crankset, AVA rims, fixed steel handlebars and stem combination, Pelissier and Lug rim brakes or the Rcley Super Light saddle.
An authentic 1920s Peugeot machine is a rare sight and a perfect opportunity for the serious collectors.
