Description
Founded in 1882 in Sochaux, France, Peugeot is one of the oldest bicycle manufacturers in the world. Throughout their history, Peugeot produced all kinds of bikes ranging from town bikes to pure-bred racing machines.
This Peugeot Competition 5003 road bike stems from 1997. The frame made of Reynolds 553 tubes has been painted in the team colours of team Festina. This bike has an ambition to serve well in whatever conditions and it is no surprise then, that it uses a blend of trusty and reliable parts. Shimano RSX 7-speed shifting on the handlebars is as bombproof as are the mid-deep Rigida DP18 rims. The last digit in the model name stands for the Ofmega triple chain set configuration, and with ratios ranging from 52/11 to 32/28 you can be sure, that this bike is really versatile as well.
All in all, a great choice for commuting or sportive rides and a budget-friendly entry to the world of road bikes.
