Description
Peugeot started producing bicycles pretty early. Their first bike was already built as early as 1882. But their reputation grew mainly due to their racing activities. Peugeot sponsored victorious racing squads and cyclists from 1903 until 1983. This came with some reputation which allowed the company to sell numerous road bikes.
In this time they managed to win the Tour de France 10 times and countless championships, classics and one day races. Who has not seen the pictures of Tom Simpson and Eddy Merckx, winning the World Championships 1965 and 1967 on a Peugeot PX 10?
And here we present one of their classic road bikes a Peugeot P8E from 1971. A bike which is in particulary good condition for its age.
The tubes are Peugeots own as are the lugs. Regarding the parts - there might has been just one change to the original setup by switching the saddle. From the brakes to the hubs, everything else is original.
It is an uncomplicated racing bike, developed for the speed-hungry amateur.
