Description

Peugeot was one of those early bicycle manufacturers which grew big and successful during the 20th century. Their first bike was already built as early as 1882. But their reputation grew mainly due to their racing activities. Peugeot sponsored victorious racing squads and cyclists from 1903 until 1983.

In this time they managed to win the Tour de France 10 times as well as countless championships, classics and one day races. Who has not seen the pictures of Tom Simpson and Eddy Merckx, winning the World Championships 1965 and 1967 on a Peugeot PX 10?

In the 80s, all bicycle manufactures were trying to modernise their product line and Peugeot was in the middle of a huge change, since most their models had been technically almost unchanged during the 1970s.
One of the bikes that benefitted from these changes was the Peugeot PSV 10S.
The frame is a classic lugged construction, but it is made of high end Super Vitus tubes. The full aluminium parts setup includes such fine components as Stronglight's b10 needle bearing headset. In the sum the lightweight parts add a lot to the agility of this bike.
Small improvements like a direct-mount front derailleur and the best-in-class Simplex retrofriction shifting show a certain attention to detail.

Our specific PSV 10S has been thoroughly checked by our mechanics and due to its great condition, we can recommend it for your everyday ride as well as longer touring.
