Description
This almost perfectly preserved Picchio was made by nobody else than one of the greatest yet most unpretentious framebuilders of Italy: Guiseppe Pelà. He never gave away much of what he was doing, still his influence was enormous. He built bikes for Champions like Merckx and Anquetil!
One of his more visible Inventions you can see on this bike. Pelà was the first in northern Italy who came up with the Idea of having pantographs on the upper seatstay.
This masterpiece survived the last decades without many traces and just looks marvellous. It is completely equipped with the first generation Campagnolo Super Record group. Additionally the handlebar is sewn in leather and the saddle is a Brooks professional from 1973. If you are searching for an authentic piece of cycling history this one is a real opportunity!
