Description
In the 1980s the first big wave of aerodynamic ideas swept over the bicycle industry. Oval-shaped tubes, shifters on the top of the down-tube, internally routed cables and aero components were the main features of these aero racing bicycles.
Pinarello – one of the Italian cornerstones in cycling heritage – achieved the aero concept and designed a specifically aero-optimised frameset.
The framset of our Pinarello has those internally routed shifting cables. And the shifters on the top of the down-tube make the silhouette of this Pinarello particularly elegant, yet very racy looking.
Unfortunately a former owner of the bike decided that it would be a good idea to crimp the seatstays inwards. It did not brake the frame but it definitely changed the looks.Regarding the components, the bike is completely equipped with Campagnolo parts which were checked in our workshop by our mechanics. Cables, tires, chain and bar tape have been also renewed.
Would make a high class commuter or an Eroica beater.
