Description
Giovanni 'Nani' Pinarello, was a successful amateur rider in the era of Coppi, Bartali and Bobet, with loads of won races which eventually earned him a contract as a professional.
In the early 1950s he turned to something different by using money - which he got as a compensation for handing over his starting place in the Giro - for the setup of a bicycle shop and manufacture in his hometown Treviso.
Pinarello bikes became more and more famous and refined.
In the 1970s came the first grand tour victory. And today there are not many brands with a comparable number of triumphs in big races.
Produced between 1983 and the early 1990s, their top of the line model, the Pinarello Montello, is certainly one of the most beloved classic racing bicycles of all time.

Recognising a true Montello is as easy as falling in love with it at first sight.
Just like our model in sweet condition shows, the main features of this Italian racing machine are the bridgeless and specially formed bottom bracket shell, the internally routed rear brake cable and the attention to detail.
Back in the day - just as nowadays - this road bicycle was well-known for its stiffness, comfort and reliability. This top model of the company from Treviso is equipped with a Campagnolo Chorus groupset with Campagnolo Shamal wheels.
The pearly rouge paint together with these high class parts make for a very classy appearance A dream ride for any vintage bike enthusiast
