Description
In the early 1990 the very successful Montello has been replaced by a new top model in the model line-up of the legendary manufacturer from Treviso. Pinarello Gavia was not revolutional, yet it added a little extra in many aspects in comparison with its predecessor.
The frame is made of Columbus SLX tubes featuring the internal helical reinforcements inside the tubes. It's something you cannot really see unless you for example remove the seat post or remove the bottom bracket, but it adds to overall stiffness of the frame. As you would expect from a Pinarello flagship of this era, manufacturing standard is extremely high as you can see on tiny details like the Gavia distinctive seat stay caps.
Pinarello also decided to tweak the geometry ever so slightly. The seat tube angle is fractionally more slack and the for rake is also a tiny bit longer. The desired result was a slightly more comfortable ride and composed handling.
Top level frame deserves the best possible parts and so it is fitted with the complete Campagnolo C-Record groupset with beautiful Cobalto brakes. The Pinarello pantographed seatpost or the FIR rims in mint condition just illustrate the overall quality of this bike.
The bike has been taken completely apart, inspected and serviced by our mechanics in Berlin. That means that you can enjoy this classic top level bike without compromises.
