Description
Poretti was a bicycle shop located in the city of Legnano, northern Italy. As some other bike brands of that area close to the city of Milan, Poretti frames were manufactured by Giovanni Losa, an expert frame builder – who also built several frames for Cinelli (including the Super Corsa from the 1990s until 2008) and Magni, among the others.
Losa's works are easily recongnisable from the lugs with V-shaped engravings and – very often – for a grooving in the seat tube. Just as this masterly manufactured frame perfectly illustrates.
Made of light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes, this Poretti is equipped with top-class Campagnolo parts. The bike arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in original condition and underwent a full service to make sure it rides as it did back in the 1980s.
If you are looking for a special bike to ride at Eroica events, this Poretti by Losa is the choice. Elegant.
