Description
Here we present a Cicli Porta Special - a very interesting and quite rare classic bicycle from 1970s. Fratelli Porta was a small Italian frame manufacturer in Nichelino, near Turin. The frame is made of a legend amongst the classic steel tubing of the 1970s - a Columbus SL steel. The paint was refurbished by Porta back in the 1980s (ca. 10 years after it was intially produced) and shines now in a vivid soft effect paint. By contrast, the lug cutouts are painted black.
Porta frames are not common indeed, if you find one it usually is top notch. What makes this bicycle really alluring is the choice of components. You can find here a just the best classic components from Campagnolo. Of course, it is the Campagnolo Super Record groupset - the choice of the TdF winners and pro-cyclists back then.
The rather small size of this bike makes it suitable for those vintage bike lovers who usually struggle with finding a fitting short frame. This classic bicycle with its 28t rear cog is perfect for the hilly rough surfaces of L'Eroica routes and will be an eye catcher at the famous bike festival!
