Description

The great traditional company of Raleigh had already a standing as one of the biggest and most versatile bicycle producers of the world when this bike was produced. By then, in the 1980s, they had sponsored one of the best cycling teams in the world, the Team TI-Raleigh, and their Reynolds 753 tubed frames were precious and fairly expensive pieces for which almost every cyclist longed to ride once.
Since obviously not everybody had the financial background to allow such an investment, and certainly not if just starting with sportive riding, Raleigh had a whole range of bikes in their product line which were more affordable.
our Raleigh Pursuit from the 1980s was one of them. The heart of this bike is a lugged steel frame, made in England. For the parts Raleigh decided carefully for a mix of reliable components which would work well for years but at a considerably lower price than the luxurious professional groupsets.
The fact that they are still in place and are still doing a good job proves that the responsible persons at Raleigh chose well.
This pearly anthracite English racer is a good choice for all kind of rides, be it commuting, weekend tours or Eroica Britannia.
