In 1984, Raleigh introduced the Raleigh Road Ace 12 Classic Road Bike.
Since the exemplar we are having here is pretty well preserved in its setup, we could just paraphrase the original catalogue text from 1984. Well, actually, why not.
"The Road Ace is built for the racer who wants the latest style in top quality racing componentry. Handbuilt in the Leightweight Unit, the Road Ace features the Shimano 600 AX aerodynamic ensemble and Reynolds 531c tubing throughout."
Fun fact: The pearl white colour was in fact called 'polar blue'.
So what we have here is an authentic British bike with one of Shimano's aerodynamic groupsets. Especially famous for their brakes and the specially designed Pedals.
