Description

Former bike racer Tom Ritchey over the years became one of the most influential people in mountain bike design. From the late 1970s on he has been acknowledged as one of the world's finest frame makers.
Years of development in technique and tooling have enabled him to be the most prolific builder while simutaneously hand building frames that are considered the highest quality obtainable. So we are happy to offer one of his late 1980s bikes:
the purple paint topped with a unicrown fork gives the Ritchey Ascent Comp away. This is a racing machine with top notch components and a proven design. The Ascent Comp is a handcrafted TIG welded frame made by Tom Ritchey and trained Ritchey Mountain Bike craftsmen by using Tange 4130 chrome moly double butted tubing.
The competition geometry gives you a seat angle of 73 degrees and a head angle of 70 degrees to provide the best in performance and stability.
It is quick, responsive and an exceptionally efficient climber.
Top class Shimano components complete this bike to a sleek combination of power and smoothness.
If you would like to smash some hills in vintage style, grab this long bike and go!
