Sold for over € 1000,00 to United Kingdom on 11/19/18.

Description

It's no coincidence that Marco Rossin was one of most skilled frame builders at Colnago before he decided to run his own factory. In the 1980s he got us used to some of the most innovative and most stylish racing bicycles ever. And he also introduced some of the finest Mountainbikes to the European market, just like our Rossin Marathon Classic mountainbike, certainly one of the finest Italian MTBs of the 1980s.
Designed to improve the stiffness and reactivity of the bicycle, the frame is made of sturdy Columbus Offroad tubes which were profiled in a special way, reminding of the Colnago Master models.

As for the parts nothing less than a complete Campagnolo setup was chosen. It is the Campagnolo Centaur groupset including a U-brake and a set of Campagnolo Record-OR shifters which is installed. And Campagnolo's Kappa Mountainbike rims are there, too!

On top of the high class components, many NOS tuning parts have been used on this bike. From the Pedals to the handlebar and seatpost or the Sprocket cleaner. The bike has been completely serviced and is ready for a second life under the pedal strokes of a vintage Mountainbike fan.

"I took the road less traveled, and that made all the difference" - Robert Frost, Mountain Bike Pioneer in oblivion.
