Description
Baronchelli, Roger De Vlaeminck, Franco Ballerini and Moreno Argentin are some of the riders who rode frames expertly and meticulously built by Marco Rossin, one of the best Italian frame builders in the 1970s and 1980s.
His career started at the Colnago factory which he left in 1974 to establish his own business together with Vittorio and Giuseppe Ghezzi, Inzaghi e Garbelli – patrons and managers of ICLAS and ITLA teams by that time.
This Rossin Performance road bike stems from the 1990s and it is made of light tube set dedicated for racing frames - Columbus Genius. These have been connected with fillet brazing around the head tube with very smooth transitions. The rest is lugged and so are the drop outs.
As for the equipment, this Italian frame has Italian componentry from Campagnolo - a blend of Chorus and Athena 8-speed group set with Record Ergopower shifters on the bars. Another highlight is certainly the wheel set. It has been hand built in our workshop using some Campagnolo hubs and NOS Ambrosio clincher rims.
This Rossin has everything if you want a serious ride with authentic 90s style. The frame is great and with matching Campagnolo parts which work pretty well. Serviced and when needed, parts like chain, tires or indeed the wheel set has been changed for new (or NOS) ones.
