In 1985 Rudy Barbazza founded a company which soon became a market leader in sports goggles and helmets and has stayed an innovative powerhouse for more than 30 years now. With design unit and the whole production still in Italy, Rudy Project is an enterprise which is deeply regionally rooted. The first steps were made in Treviso and it is no surprise that in a region where Pinarello or Battaglin are situated and you find know how galore, making top class bikes is easier than in many other parts of the world.
So it seems that Rudy Project did not have many difficulties in finding the craftsmen to produce their rare bikes, just a handful, mainly for their sponsoring plans for an own racing team.
And so it is pretty rare what we present to you here: a Rudy Project Challenge Racing Team Road Bike from 1991.
Technically this bike is absolutely top notch! The tubing is Columbus' flagship tubing, the SLX. And the parts are formed by a complete Campagnolo C-Record groupset from 1991.
When we talk about its visual charms we have to mention the precise pantographs and brandings on the frame as well as its decent elegant shape and the legendary beauty of the C-Record groupset with Delta brakes.
