Description
Umberto Scapin started building racing bicycles in 1957 in Piove di Sacco (Padua, norther Italy) and dedicated his whole life towards the production of high-end and refined steel frames. However not a mainstream brand, Scapin bicycles are nowadays really renowned amongst collectors worldwide.
As most of the Italian frame builders, Scapin committed to manufacture not only durable and performance frames, but also elegant and beauty, adjectives which must must accompany every Italian bicycle. And this Scapin Special is no exception.
Built with light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes, this Scapin frame sticks out for a "cromovelato" paintwork in original condition. The tubes basically underwent a full chroming before getting painted with a very thin blue coat which creates a very translucent paint job.
This very elegant road bicycle is furtheromre equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record and Nuovo Gran Sport parts, Universal brakes with golden finish, Fiamme rims or vintage Superecorsa saddle.
Fully checked in our workshop, this shiny golden 70's bike is ready to go!
