Description
Umberto Scapin started building racing bicycles in 1957 in Piove di Sacco (Padua, norther Italy) and dedicated his whole life towards the production of high-end and refined steel frames. However not a mainstream brand, Scapin bicycles are nowadays really renowned amongst collectors worldwide.
As most of the Italian frame builders, Scapin committed to manufacture not only durable and performing frames, but also elegant and beautiful ones, adjectives which must accompany every Italian bicycle. And this Scapin in cromovelato is no exception.
Built with reliable Columbus Aelle, this Scapin frame sticks out for its "cromovelato" paintwork. The tubes basically underwent a full chroming before getting painted with a very thin gunmetal grey coat which creates a translucent effect.
This very elegant road bicycle is in impeccable, original condition and is furthermore equipped with Campagnolo Super Record components, NOS Campagnolo Sigma rims and 3ttt bars. Simply the best of everything.
If you are looking for a rare and elegant classic bicycle to take part in Eroica events this Scapin cromovelato will not disappoint you!
