Description
In 1917, Sparta was founded in the dutch city of Apeldoorn.
The producer and trader of cycling parts soon went on to make complete bikes and small motorcycles, which would become more and more important, until, in the 1970s, Sparta became a real bicycle producer again.
They made all kinds of bikes, including a popular Tandem line. Our Sparta City-Touring Tandem from the 1970s is one of those pieces.
The very stable frame is clearly not made to be ridden in sportive events or up alpine climbs. Instead it is an easy cruiser. A comfortable bike for gentle rides in the city and its surroundings.
The seat position is the typical upright one which you would expect from a classic dutch bicycle, thus the leather seats are extra comfortable.
The seat and handlebar height are adjustable to fit small persons as well as very large ones. You could even ride this bike when you are really, really tall.
