Description

Staiger has been one of the oldest German companies in the bicycle industry. After 21 year old Paul Staiger became cycling champion of the kingdom of Württemberg in 1897, he decided to open a shop for bicycles. One year later he was able to start his business in Stuttgart. Soon enough, Staiger bikes were renowned for their solidity and reliability.
Our Staiger Classic Road Bike from the 1970s is no exception. Built from a mix of different Reynolds tubes, the frame provides a surprising stiffness paired with loads of comfort.
The original paintjob with its gorgeous bright green colour and golden outlined lugs is in an excellent condition. The whole appearance of this Staiger radiates an authentic 1970s vibe. The parts are a mix of quality components, which was rather typical for German bicycle companies who wanted to build bikes for the bigger market of amateur sportsmen but without sacrificing the reliability of their machines.
All in all this bike is a great ride for any occasion, be it commuting or vintage cycling events.
