Description
The Stelbel Dynamics was an expensive model line built in the 1980s by STELio BELletti.
He is without a doubt one of the most creative and skilled Italian frame builders of the 1970s and 1980s. Belletti was actually one of the first manufacturers who pioneered the process of TiG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) for bicycle frame building (he learnt it from his father Antenore, a planes fuselages welder). And he was the first one to master this technique to a degree that is still exemplary today.
This Stelbel Dynamics Crono Pursuit Bike 1986 dates back to 1986 and is made of Columbus tubes, specifically designed and made for Stelio Belletti. The lugless frame is a true craftsmanship masterpiece, as well as the unique fork with the iconic Stelbel crown.
Typical for the Dynamics models are extra gussets and fins which were added to the frame structure to increase stiffness and improve aerodynamics. On our TT-bike it is the impressive and beautiful fins at the back of the bottom bracket shell.
This classic bicycle is furthermore equipped with the best parts of its time: a Campagnolo C-Record groupset of the first generation, including Cobalto brakes! Another extra are the gorgeous disc wheels with their sweet 1980s colour scheme.
Stelio Belletti is said to have manufactured roughly 1000 frames. Therefore each Stelbel bicycle is like a piece of art. These bikes reached a cult status especially among Italian collectors. They can rightfully be called iconic.
And our masterpiece will certainly enrich any vintage cycling collection!
