Description

The Stelbel Integrale was an expensive model line built in from around 1975 on by STELio BELletti.
He is without a doubt one of the most creative and skilled Italian frame builders of the 1970s and 1980s.
Belletti was actually one of the first manufacturers who pioneered the process of TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) for bicycle frame building (he learnt it from his father Antenore, a planes fuselages welder). And he was the first frame builder to master this technique to a degree that is still exemplary today.

This Stelbel dates back to about 1978 and is made of Columbus tubes, specifically designed and made for Stelio Belletti. The lugless frame is a true craftsmanship masterpiece, as well as the unique fork with the iconic Stelbel crown.
And then there are the special rear dropouts. As a typical feature of Integrale models, Campagnolo 1010 dropouts have been modified and then welded directly to the chain stays. In the case of our Stelbel the rear stays are chrome plated, making this artisanal detail even more stunning.

This classic bicycle is furthermore equipped with some of the the best parts of its time: a Campagnolo Super Record parts. The Mavic SSC tubular rims also shouldn't remain unmentioned.

Stelio Belletti is said to have manufactured roughly 1000 frames. Therefore each Stelbel bicycle is like a piece of art. These bikes reached a cult status especially among Italian collectors. And to come across one in good shape and in such a small size is almost a miracle. A unique chance for real lovers of Italian frame building tradition.
