Description

This Stella Veneta from the year 1950 is certainly a dreambike for anybody with a soft spot for true classics.
The lugs are incredibly nice especially on the head tube and the fork crown. The wooden rims turn the conaisseurs eyes. Details like the legendary adjustable Record Assoluto Vittorie stem, the matching airpump and bidon plus the Stella Veneta jersey are turning a teriffic bike into a really unique time machine.
Another highlight is the famous Derailleur, the Campagnolo Cambio Corsa. A two-lever-operated masterpiece that combines special dropouts with a quick release and the actual derailleur. This was the power house that helped Gino Bartali win his epic Tour de France in 1948.
Few people will have heard of the Brand Stella Veneta. And to explain where it came from we have to take a look back. In 1919 The famous Ferdinando Michelin founded a company for bicycle components together with his brother, it was called FAC Michelin. Ferdinando later on changed the name of the company to the simpler 'Miche' thus he avoided a confusion with the French tire-factory. His brother started producing complete bicycles, mainly travelling bikes and road bikes by the year 1935. He called the brand Stella Veneta

And like a true star this beautiful bike shines.
