Tommasini Prestige Classic Racing Bike 1980s

While many bicycle builders have been offering different quality ranges to meet the expectations of a wider circle of customers, Irio Tommasini did nothing alike.
The artisan frame manufacture in Grosseto, Tuscany knows nothing but one category of frames - top class. And what else would you expect from someone who worked together with the great Giuseppe Pelà?
His expertise and relentless quality-oriented craftsmanship found him fame and fans all around the globe, as did his beautifully executed frames.

Here is one of his legendary bikes, a Tommasini Prestige from the 1980s. As on any Tommasini frame you will find engravings and pantographs aplenty.
The tubes themselves are Columbus SL, the famous steel tubes which were the choice for most professional riders for two decades.
The groupset is a Campagnolo Super Record - Just the best of everything.
A specific kind of paintwork can be found on this bike, which is reminiscent of the classic paintjobs of the pre-war era. An interesting touch which matches nicely with the chromed stays.
