Tommasini Titanio Prestigious Road Bicycle

While many bicycle builders have been offering different quality ranges to meet the expectations of a wider circle of customers, Irio Tommasini has never done anything alike.

The artisan frame manufacture from Grosseto, Tuscany knows nothing but one category of frames - top class. And what else would you expect from someone who worked together with the giants of frame building Faliero Masi and Giuseppe Pelà?

His expertise and relentless quality-oriented craftsmanship found him fame and fans all around the globe, as did his beautifully executed frames. This was always true, but when times moved on, the company was facing new challenges in frenetically transforming market. In the 90s, demand for different frame materials than steel rose up and it became customary for big brands to offer one prestigious model made of titanium alloy. The popularity of titanium was gaining momentum thanks to the specific riding characteristics such as comfort and longevity while still keeping weight pretty low. But production of such frames was immensely expensive and that reflected in final prices for the customers. Thus not many of these have been produced and this Tommasini Titanio is no exception.

The frame itself is very well made with classic geometry with horizontal top tube and precise welds. It is a very comfortable ride yet still responsive as a racing bike. A carbon fork is mounted in the front underlining above mentioned qualities.

As a prestigious performance bicycle is has to be equipped accordingly. And Campagnolo Record carbon 10-speed groupset fits the bike perfectly. It is still somewhat classic looking but with modern performance. And thanks to excessive use of carbon fiber and titanium elements it's pretty light too. It is then completed with Flite Titanium saddle or FSA RPM wheelset.
