Description

In the second half of the 20th century, Redl bicycles were among the best bikes in Germany that money could buy.

Located in Munich, the manufacture of Anton "Toni" Redl senior and his son Toni junior had an excellent reputation and even built bikes for world champions!

And one of those rare gems from Bavaria is now for sale. This Toni Redl classic road bicycle dates back to 1978 and it has been refurbished in bronze color paintjob. The frame is made Reynolds 531 tubes and as most of Redl bicycles, the design is very plain and simple. The clean lugs have nice cut-outs, the seat stays are getting beefier at the top (as on many Redl's bikes) and the fork crown is finished with not at all ostentatious "R".

The parts are a real tret here. It is equipped with a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record gruppo, but it isn't that simple. It stems from 1978 when Campagnolo slightly changed some details on the components. You will find the rare front derailleur with 4 holes and a simple straight clamp band, produced for just one year in 1978. The brake levers are also the older ones with slightly flatter tips and a circular cable port at the bottom.

A classic bicycle with character. The right choice for enthusiast collectors and real connoisseurs!
