Description
Vitus 979 classic aluminium racing bike from the 1980s Here we present the first aluminium racing bicycle released by Vitus, the pioneer of glued aluminium frame set.
The Vitus 979 has been launched in 1979 - in collaboration with Ateliers de la Rive and Angenieux-CLB - and is made of Duralinox 5083 aluminum-magnesium alloy tubes which are glued in aluminium lugs. The geometry of this frame set is steeper than the frames of its time and became the developing basis of the Vitus 992.
This model has a shining blue anodized frame and is equipped with Cambio Rino parts, Mavic rims and hubs and 3ttt stem and handlebar.
Despite the skepticism, it is a piece of the cycling heritage.
