Description

Here we present a stunning bicycle from the early 1990s. Vitus made themselves a name as France's leading manufacturers of high-quality frame tubing. Their products were on a par with Reynolds and Columbus. And when the new material came by, Vitus didn't remain behind. Carbon was already proven as a bicycle frame material, but it was still in form of tubes connected together by some additional elements. In the late 80s and early 90s many manufacturers experimented with more advanced solution - the carbon momocoque. From the beginning, it was difficult to produce the frames in high volumes, different sizes and the whole manufacturing process was very very expensive. It was a challange.

But it allowed for different shapes, characteristics and geometry alterations, as this Vitus ZX1 Early Carbon Monocoque Bike displays. The frame shape is stunning and the paintjob is equally bold, as it should be on a proper 90s racer. It is fitted with a beautiful Campagnolo Chorus 8-speed gropset with Record shifters integrated into the brake levers. Apart from the proprietary Mavic headset this fully Campagnolo equipped bike is completed with the shiny deep section Vento wheelset with flat spokes and classic 90s 3ttt cockpit.

The bike has been checked in our workshop and it is ready to go. Perfect choice for rides in the typical 90s style!
