Description
This Wilier Triestina Karbon 2 road bike is certainly much more recent then we usually offer in our shop. It stems approximately from 2003 and as it is clear from the first glance, it's made of carbon fiber. The frame has the monocoque construction and it excels in stiffness but the ride is still surprisingly supple.
This model was brought to the public spotlight when iconic Marco Pantani has been racing for team Mercatone Uno in the last years of his career on such frames. It was also Pantani in the late 90s who popularized the red, blue and yellow combination which became almost iconic for the Wilier bikes of that era.
This Wilier Karbon 2 has the paintjob used by German Team Gerolsteiner with the yellow accent of the bartape as a reminiscence of the glory days in the 90s. It is equipped with Campagnolo Veloce 10-speed groupset, which runs like a clockwork and is accompanied by Mavic Aksium Race wheelset, carbon fiber seatpost and Fizik saddle.
High quality bike which is a joy to ride.
