Description
May there be more famous bikes - it still is fair enough to say that the Wilier Triestinas are some of the most beautiful racing bicycles ever manufactured.
Their bikes became famous partly due to a flamboyant translucent paintjob on chromed frames.
These were usually orange and called "Ramata" amongst enthusiasts - Ramata, feminine for Ramato which in Italian means copper plated. The Wilier Triestina has always appealed to collectors around the globe like few other bicycles.
The frame on this particular one is made of Columbus SPX tube set which makes the bike robust yet still very light. These tubes are then connected by Cinelli lugs. Above all the iconic "spoiler" bottom bracket and both brake bridge and seat tube lug with Cinelli engravings are very unusual and fancy.
As for the components, is is equipped with Campagnolo Super Record groupset with many pantographed parts. The chainring, seatpost, shifter and the stem have been pantographed by Wilier. Such a gruopset is very exclusive and makes this already glaring bike shine even more.
