Description

One of the oldest and most prestigious Italian bicycle brands still existing, the Wilier, was founded in 1909 in Bassano del Grappa, northern Italy.

When it comes to classic bicycles, there are actually few models which stick out as much as the Wilier Ramata does, undoubtedly one of the finest Italian cycles ever manufactured. Over the years the former called 'tipo la triestina' model became the flagship of the Italian brand and a very sought-after bicycle among collectors.

Its paintwork is certainly the highlight: called "Ramata" - the Italian for copper-coated - it consists of a thin coating over chromed tubes which creates a unique translucent paint job.

Our Wilier Triestina Ramata dates back to 1970s and thanks to a complete refurbishment, it shines as if it would left the Wilier workshop just now. The frame set shows some nice details like cutout lugs or Columbus dove pantographes, which also refer to the tubing used.

This classic bike is equipped with Cmapagnolo Nuovo Record groupset and other fine parts like Martano rims, Universal brake levers or Cinelli cockpit. Some components were also gently milled like the brake calipers and the stem which makes them even more appealing.

Wilier bikes are always pretty and as a matter of fact attractive and this one definitely doesn't fall short of it.
