Description
May there be more famous bikes - it still is fair enough to say that the Wilier Triestinas are some of the most beautiful racing bicycles ever manufactured.
Their bikes became famous partly due to a flamboyant translucent paintjob on chromed frames.
These were usually orange and called "Ramata" amongst enthusiasts - Ramata, feminine for Ramato which in Italian means copper plated. The Wilier Triestina has always appealed to collectors around the globe like few other bicycles.
The paintwork on our Wilier is a bit more special and though it is not unseen, it is still rather rare: a translucent blue paint coat over polished chromed tubes - Oversized and strong Columbus steel tubes in this case - turns it into an Azzurrata.
This particular model dates back to ca. 1990 and is in very good condition.
Regarding the components, this Wilier Triestina is equipped with a Campagnolo Croce d'Aune including the iconic Delta brakes.
On top there are exquisite pantographs on stem, setpost, crankset, shifters, brakes and brake levers!
The bike furthermore has been serviced in our workshop which means it is ready to be ridden!
A bike like no other!
