Description
One of the oldest and most prestigious Italian bicycle brands, Wilier was founded in 1906 in Bassano del Grappa (Veneto region, norther Italy).
When it comes to Italian classic bicycles, "elegant and beautiful" are adjectives which must accompany also any hand-crafted frames. Undoubtedly there are a few models which embody that as Wilier Triestina bicycles do.
Over the years the "cromovelato paintwork" - paint coat over chromed tubes which creates a unique translucent paint job- became the signature of Wilier Triestina and has appealed collectors around the globe ever since.
This model dates back to the 1980s and shines in a very unusual - thus even rarer - "blue cromovelato paintwork. The frameset is made of light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes is equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset, Campagnolo Pavè Sigma tubular rims and a San Marco Regal saddle: just the best of everything!
This Wilier Triestina has been furthermore re-chromed and fully refurbished by the previous owner. Disassembled, adjusted and oiled in our workshop, it is ready to be ridden at the next Eroica event!
Simply a glorious piece of cycling history...
