Description
There might be more popular brands but it still is fair enough to say that Wilier Triestina built some of the most beautiful sports and racing bicycles ever.
Known as "Ramata" amongst enthusiasts - Ramata, feminine for Ramato which in Italian means copper plated - the Wilier Triestina bikes first left the factory in Rossano Veneto and have appealed to collectors around the globe like few other bicycles.
The paintwork is also certainly a highlight of our Wilier Triestina Gentleman's Sport Bike from the 1960s: it consists of a translucent paint coat over polished chromed tube.
This model was built for sportive yet uncompetitive riding. The chain guard and mud guards would keep good clothes clean while the handlebar allowed for an upright more dignified riding position.
Regarding the components, this Wilier Triestina is equipped with a Campagnolo Sport shifting Campagnolo hubs and pantographed Magistroni parts: an amaretto cherry on the top!
Cycling heritage at its finest. Ridable in short Eroica rides or spectacular sunday jaunts.
