Description
May there be more famous bikes - it still is fair enough to say that the Wilier Triestinas are some of the most beautiful racing bicycles ever manufactured.
Their bikes became famous partly due to a flamboyant translucent paintjob on chromed frames.
These were usually orange and called "Ramata" amongst enthusiasts - Ramata, feminine for Ramato which in Italian means copper plated. The Wilier Triestina has always appealed to collectors around the globe like few other bicycles.
The frame on this particular one is made of light, thin-walled and slightly oversized tubes, connected by traditional Wilier lugs. The highlight of this bike are certainly the components. It features a complete Campagnolo Super Record gruppo, but that is not all. Almost all parts have been pantograpged by Wilier of slightly modified and so you will find pantographed chainring, crank arms, seatpost, stem or shifters and a pair of prcisely milled brake calipers! Such a gruopset is very exclusive and makes this already glaring bike shine even more.
