Wilier Triestina Ramata Special Classic Roadbike

Although it is not the most winning bicycle of all time, it is fair enough saying that the Wilier Triestina is one of the most beautiful racing bicycles ever manufactured.

Known as "Ramata" amongst enthusiasts - Ramata, feminine for Ramato which in Italian means copper plated - the Wilier Triestina has appealed collectors around the globe as few other bicycles so far.

The paintwork is certainly the highlight of this Wilier Triestina Special, a paint coat over chromed tubes - Columbus SL in this case - which creates a unique translucent paint job. This model dates back to the 1970s and arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in original condition, thus we decided to preserve its authenticity.

The bicycle underwent basically a complete check: cables and tires have been replace; gearing, brakes, BB and headset have been adjusted and greased.

Re the components, it is equipped with an original Campagnolo Super Record 1st generation groupset, 3ttt stem and bars, Mavic rims, NOS Regina Extra chain and NOS Selle Royal Superleggero suede saddle.

A must have for any avid collector. Hard to find, especially with original Ramato paintwork. More than a bicycle, simply a piece of art.
