Description
Although not the most winning bicycle of all time, it is fair enough saying that the Wilier Triestina Superleggera is one of the most beautiful racing bicycles ever manufactured.
Known as "Ramata" amongst enthusiasts - Ramata, feminine for Ramato which in Italian means copper plated - the Wilier Triestina Superleggera first left the factory in Rossano Veneto in the late 1970s and has appealed collectors around the globe as few other bicycles ever since.
The paintwork is certainly the highlight of the Wilier Triestina Superleggera: it consists of a paint coat over chromed tubes - Columbus SL in this case - which creates a unique translucent paint job. This model dates back to the 1980s and arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in original condition and underwent a complete check in our workshop.
Re the components, this Wilier Triestina is equipped with an original Campagnolo Super Record groupset with pantographed parts: an amaretto cherry on the top!
Cycling heritage at its finest. Approved to take part in Eroica events worldwide.
