Description
May there be more better known bikes - it still is fair enough to say that the Wilier Triestina Superleggera is one of the most beautiful racing bicycles ever manufactured.
Known as "Ramata" amongst enthusiasts - Ramata, feminine for Ramato which in Italian means copper plated - the Wilier Triestina Superleggera first left the factory in Rossano Veneto in the 1970s and has appealed to collectors around the globe like few other bicycles.
The paintwork is certainly the highlight of the Wilier Triestina Superleggera: it consists of a translucent paint coat over polished chromed tubes - Columbus SL in this case.
This model dates back to the early 1980s and is in an almost flawless condition.
Regarding the components, this Wilier Triestina is equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset with a load of pantographed and milled parts: an amaretto cherry on the top!
Cycling heritage at its finest. Approved to take part in Eroica events worldwide.
