Zullo Profiled Classic Road Bike

Tiziano Zullo was born in 1952 at Stallavena, a small village close to Verona in the North of Italy. After a short career as a reacing rider, he soon became involved in building frames learning from the skilled artisanal framebuilders in Italy.

The quality of his work became well known and eventually, he supplied frames to some better known Italian companies. As well as supplying these other companies, he also sold frames within his local area under his trademark ‘Zullo’. Since 1978, Zullo bikes were imported in larger volumes into foreign countries like Germany, France, USA and even Australia.

Mr. Zullo's frames are best known for their racing pedigree. In 1985 he crossed paths with top Dutch professional team TVM. This would lead to Zullo being the frame supplier of the team From 1986 until 1992 the Dutch team TVM was supplied by Zullo frames and it was a succesfull partnership. So it happened that riders like Phil Anderson, Dimitri Konychev, Scott Sunderland or Robert Millar rode Zullo bikes in the pro-peloton.

This Zullo frame stems from the late 1980s or early 1990s and it is a nice piece indeed. The tubes in the main triangle are crimped - a solution similar to that known from Colnago Master. The fully chromed and straight-bladed fork makes the whole set even more elegant and the deep blue paintjob then seals the deal. Nice base of a classic road bike and in a nice condition too.

It is then equipped to be a versatile machine. Thanks to the triple Campagnolo crankset, it has the right ratios for cruising on flat road as well as for steep hard hills. The Campagnolo equipment is completed with ITM cockpit, Rigida clincher rims and a new Turbo saddle.
