Description
Cicli Carnielli was a large company founded back in 1908 by Teodoro Carnielli in a small town of Vittorio Veneto in northern Italy. This energetic man stood behind the success and enormous longevity of the company. In the earlier years, Carlielli produced engine powered vehicles like mopeds, light motorcycles or three-wheelser, but in the 1960s the iconic folding bicycle Graziella was born. It was an instant hit which opened the door also to the cycling market. Carnielli company also owned Bottecchia brand until the mid-1990s. Among other brands under Carnielli wings was Aurora, focused on the higher-end road bikes.
Our Aurora classic road bike stems from the early 1980s and it's a fine bicycle indeed. The frame made of steel tubes connected with nice lugs is fitted with forged dropouts, shows nice pantographes and the shiny chromed front fork and rear stays are a clear indication, that this was one of the high-end models.
Regarding the components, it is fitted with a blend of Italian parts from Campagnolo, Modolo, Ofmega or Gipiemme.
A very elegant bicycle which is just perfect for a vintage cycling event or for a nice weekend ride.
