Basic Tool Set for Vintage Bikes

When it comes to vintage bicycles, tools needed for their assembly sometimes differ from those used for modern bike. To help with basic service, we have selected this Basic Tool Set for Vintage Bikes. It is of decent quality and is sufficient for many simple adjustments or small repairs.

It consists of:

Crank arm bolt remover

- 15 mm and 14 mm socket for crank arm bolts (Sometimes, when you try to use a universal 14 or 15 socket, you will find out that it's walls are too thick to engage on the bolt. This tool has thinner walls designed for tight space around the crank arm bolts.)

- 15 mm Pedal wrench

Crank arm remover

- This tool is needed for almost all square tapered bottom brackets, but for ISIS and Shimano's Octalink as well. Simply screw it into the crank arm (standard thread M22 x 1 mm) and by tightening, the pin will press against the spindle, resulting in the crank arm being pushed off of the spindle.

Y-Socket wrench

-8, 10 and 13 mm sockets

Multitool

- hex keys 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 mm

- Phillips and straight screwdriver
