Description
Shown in the opening scene, of the legendary cycling movie A Sunday In Hell, the Benotto 3000 was one of the iconic bicycles of the 1970s and early 1980s.
Benotto was founded by Giacinto Benotto in Torino, Italy, in 1931. Like so many Italian bike manufacturers of the era, Benotto himself was a passionate racer and had first-hand experience in the competitive world of racing. He knew of the need for high-quality designs.
The brother's brand would go on sponsor a series of successful professional cycling teams. 11 World Championship titles have been won by riders of Benotto bicycles. And for several years, the top model of the brand was the Benotto 3000.
The bicycle is set up for the perfect Eroica experience;
-Puncture resistant, Continental Gatorskin tyres 28mm.
-Clincher rims, easy to change the inner tube in case of a puncture.
-Rear cassette with 28 teeth, perfect for climbing hills.
-Padded handlebar tape, comfortable over long distances.

Condition
The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork seems original with some normal scratches and other signs of usage. The decals were raplaced at some point. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
