Description
Located in Cuneo (Piedmont, Northern Italy), C.B.T. Italia has produced high-end racing bicycles since the early 1980s. This C.B.T. Italia Krypton is quite typical for the extraordinary way their bikes were built. The tubing consists of Columbus SLX tubing. But what makes the frame special is the way it has been profiled and joined.
What makes the frame really extraordinary is the way it has been profiled. Both top and down tubes are showing four crimps which are intended to make the tubing even stiffer (and add to a really rad look). The seat tube has a groove on the back side to leave some extra space for the back wheel to move forward, thus shortening the wheelbase. The chromed chain stays have a 'diamante' profile, a fine detail otherwise known from De Rosa bikes. The rear braking cable is elegantly routed inside of the top tube.
Our C.B.T. Italia Krypton has been paired with a Shimano 105 groupset.
Condition
The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
