Located in Cuneo (Piedmont, Northern Italy), C.B.T. Italia has produced high-end racing bicycles since the early 1980s, when Guido Tardivo joined the family business that his father Giovanni had established thirty years before. (Costruzioni Bici Tardivo)
This C.B.T. Italia Eroica Bicycle is quite typical for the extraordinary way their bikes were built. The frames are always a bit more attractive, a bit more exclusive and refined than the already elegant standard Italian road bike.
For the tubing CBT used Columbus SLX - the obvious choice for most of the professional frames back then. But it would not be a CBT if they had left it with just good materials.
Nearly every tube has been profiled in a special way to enhance the stiffness of the frame where needed but also to keep it comfortable in general! The fork and chain stays are diamond shaped. The main tubes are reinforced by a series of crimps.
Condition
Used.. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.Bicycle Size
