Description
In the 80s, the big American MTB wave reached also European shores with the full force. European brands couldn't stay behind for long and so even the most established road bike manufacturers started to develop and introduce so called ATB (all terrain bike) models. The very fist one was Cinelli with the Rampicino model. Soon whole array of models arrived and the Cinelli Mimetika was one of them.
The steel frame still sports the original paintjob which gave it its name. Mimetica means "camouflage" in Italian and one wonders which psychedelic environment this paint scheme would blend in.
It is equipped with original parts like Shimano 200GS and Deore LX 9-speed shifters. Interesting is certainly the Cinelli quill stem with inner routing for the front brake. Brand new is the whole wheelset laced around the Shimano Deore hubs and fitted with premium Japanese Panaracer Smore and Dart tyres. And as a red cherry on the top the San Marco Linea Professional saddle with curled rails for more comfort.
For Cinelli fans, vintage-MTB aficionados and for those who like something a bit more special.
Condition
Used. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
