Ugo De Rosa – widely known as "The Master" – is one of the best frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles (Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, just to name a few) but also manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry.
The Strada Record is based on the best frame from the De Rosa 1970s offer. Made of Columbus SL steel tubes (a light, butted yet stiff tubing), this model illustrates the typical attention to details of Mr De Rosa works, with lugs which have been nicely filed and are refined by beautiful heart-shaped cutouts and engravings. It also features the "diamante" chain stays, typical for top frames made by Ugo De Rosa.
Our De Rosa stems from the late 70s and it shows a professionally refurbished paintjob and the chroming has been redone as well. So you can enjoy the iconic De Rosa heart on the fork in full glare. Our exemplar is equipped with a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, fine Martano rims, Cinelli cockpit with De Rosa pantographes and the iconic Benotto bartape. And to ensure a smooth rolling, a pair of brand new handmade Tufo tyres has been fitted.
A very elegant bike of the highest grade.
ConditionUsed. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork has been refurbished. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! Parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.

SVB quality and attention to detail is second to none! Fantastic customer service, very accommodating and helpful. An error was made in delivery and the SVB team efficiently sorted the problem the same day. I was gifted the original item and sent a brand new item, dispatched the same day. Lovely products and very helpful staff. 5*GB
Just bought a second vintage classic bike from Steel Vintage. A great bike at an excellent price and they couldn't have been more helpful. Their fantastic service was every bit as good as before.
Placed the on-line order late on Saturday evening and the bike was delivered to me here in the UK the following Thursday morning.GB
Geeky Eroica Cool. I bought the "old-school" Italian made bike shoes. They were delivered in good condition and in a quick timely fashion. They're geeky cool, just like I hoped and they're put together very well (stitched nicely, no glues where it shouldn't be) light and fit properly!US
Steel Vintage Bikes are such an excellent company to deal with. They are passionate about vintage steel bikes. They have in my opinion very fair prices and very obliging to deal with. Packaging is great and no hassle even for delivery way down here in New Zealand.NZ
The overall service provided by Steel Vintage Bikes is always first rate. Delivery and packaging is always timely and well done. I cannot fault Steel Vintage and have been a customer for a number of years.. Plan to get to Berlin hopefully in the near future, stop in for a some Kaffee und Kirchen and a bike geek mooch around the shop.IE
